Elk brand inspection is required:
- Before moving the elk off the farm for slaughter, change of ownership, or export.
- At the time of arrival for interstate or international imports
Please call the Domestic Elk Program manager, at (435) 994-4553, at least 48 hours in advance to schedule an inspection.
Transportation Rule – Owner/Transporter must have an official Brand Inspection Certificate or other acceptable proof of ownership in his/her possession.
