The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food is excited to announce the launch of Plant Industry's new secure online Product Registration System. Our customers will be able to directly access their registrations for fertilizer, feed and pesticide products through the web.

Existing producers can log in at any time to add and pay for new items, upload electronic labels directly and request changes and updates. New customers can create an account and register products at their convenience throughout the year.

During the renewal cycles for the feed, fertilizer and pesticide programs, our existing customers will also be able review and modify their existing products lists without the need to wait for a renewal notice to make corrections, deletions, discontinuances or additions.

Our goal is to make the registration and renewal process as easy, accessible and convenient as possible. We are pleased to have another option for our registrants that saves money and time on printing, processing and postage.

Safe Eggs. The nation recently went through a major recall of eggs because of possible Salmonella contamination.
Utah eggs were not part of that recall. One reason is that our egg producers and food safety regulators work together to make sure egg farms take specific steps to keep salmonella and other diseases out.

Invasive weeds impact us more than we realize. Utah's wildfire season cost the state about $25 million to fight fires that claimed three lives this year. The UDAF is working with various partners to replace fire-prone weeds with species that resist fire and contribute to the health of livestock and wildlife.
