Cannabinoid Hemp product registration and labeling is covered under Utah Code 4-41, and Utah Administrative Rules R66-35. Cannabinoid Product Registration and Labeling, and R66-31. Cannabinoid Product Testing
In order to be marketed, sold or distributed in Utah, a cannabinoid product must be registered annually with UDAF.
Please see the Registered Products List, for all currently registered Industrial Hemp Cannabinoid products.
NOTE: Industrial hemp products that do not contain any cannabinoids are not required to be registered.

- Login to your account
- Click Industrial Hemp
- Click Product Registration
- Fill out application
- NOTE: you can now register multiple products at the same time by submitting one application
The following is required as part of the application
- Cannabinoid profile certificate of analysis (COA) performed by UDAF’s Analytical Lab
- A full panel COA which may be performed by any third-party lab
- See R66-35 Cannabinoid Product Registration for COA requirements and R66-31 Cannabinoid Product Testing for testing standards
- A product label for each product
- See R66-35 Cannabinoid Product Registration for label requirements
- NOTE: UDAF may request additional information from the applicant if material submitted in the application is not sufficient for approval
Applicants will be notified of approval or denial via email
- If the product is approved, the product will be added to our Registered Products List
To update product registration after submission
- Visit Agricultural Information Management System (AIMS) and login to your account
- Click Industrial Hemp
- Click Product Registration
- Select Change Request as application type
- Select product that you would like to update
- Fill out Change Request application
- For substantial changes, a new product registration may be required
