Hemp Retail Permits
Utah Code 4-41 and R66-34 Retailer Permit outlines the requirements and standards for permit.
All retail establishments who market and sell industrial hemp products, must apply for and maintain a current permit with the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF).
All cannabinoid product retailers in the state of Utah must be registered annually with UDAF. Please see the Registered Retailer List for a record of currently registered retailers.

Retail Permit Application
- Login to your account
- Click Industrial Hemp
- Click Retail Application
- Fill out application
Pay $50 Fee
- Payment can be made online, over the phone at (801) 982-2200, or by mailing a check
To update product registration after submission
- Visit Agricultural Information Management System (AIMS) and login to your account
- Click Retail Application
- Select Change Request as application type
- Select application that you would like to update
- Fill out Change Request application
**Applications will not be reviewed until payment is made**

As a reminder, all cannabinoid products marketed or sold in the state of Utah must be registered with UDAF.
Please check with local health departments regarding regulation of electronic cigarette products, as they may differ from UDAF cannabinoid product requirements.
