Non-cannabinoid hemp product manufacturing is covered under Utah Code 4-41, and Utah Administrative Rule R66-33. Industrial Hemp Producer Registration. 

This permit allows you to manufacture and handle non-cannabinoid Hemp products like Hemp seeds, fiber for textiles, rope, paper, hempcrete, or other building or fiber materials.

To apply for, renew, or edit all Industrial Hemp licenses, visit the Agriculture Information Management System (AIMS).

Industrial Hemp Producer Application Instructions:

  1. Visit the Agricultural Information Management System (AIMS)
    • Login to your account
    • Click Industrial Hemp
    • Click Producer Application
    • Fill out application
  2. There is no fee for this permit
  3. UDAF staff will notify you of approval
  4. To update producer permit after submission
    • Visit Agricultural Information Management System (AIMS), opens in a new tab and login to your account
    • Click Industrial Hemp
    • Click Producer Permit 
    • Select Change request as application type
    • Select application that you would like to update
    • Fill out Change request application
