Licensing Requirements for Utah Pesticide Applicators
If you apply pesticides commercially you must strictly comply with the following mandatory state regulations:
- Meet Applicator Standards: You must obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
- Employed by a Commercial Pesticide Business: You must be employed by a pesticide business with a valid Commercial Pesticide Business License.
- Permit Notice: The new Ornamental and Turf Technician Permit does not grant full pesticide applicator privileges. It strictly limits your authorized pesticide applications.
- Know the Law: You are legally responsible for reading, understanding, and following all state pesticide regulations.
Failure to comply with these guidelines violates state law. Violators face strict statutory penalties up to $1,000 per violation. For complete statutory and regulatory frameworks, review:
