Commissioner Blackham Appoints Stephen H. Ogilvie
Director of Administrative Services
Utah Commissioner of Agriculture and Food (UDAF), Leonard Blackham has appointed Stephen H. Ogilvie the Director of the Division of Administrative Services. Ogilvie, a Certified Public Accountant, brings with him a high level of experience in daily financial operations of large organizations, both public and private.
Prior to his appointment at the UDAF, Ogilvie was a senior business analyst and financial manager for the Utah Department of Natural Resources; a legislative fiscal analyst for the State of Utah; an assistant controller for America First Credit Union, and a controller for the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC).
“I am honored to have been selected for this position,” Ogilvie said. “The Department of Agriculture and Food is a multi-faceted agency facing a changing financial world, and I am happy to offer my experience to help guide our team of professions as we meet those challenges,” he added.
“I am pleased that Stephen is now on our team,” said Commissioner Blackham. “We had a number of highly qualified applicants, including several from within our department. I’m confident Stephen is the right fit for Agriculture and Food,” he added.
Ogilvie’s appointment takes effect immediately and fills the vacancy created following the retirement of Renee Matsuura in January. The Administrative Services Division serves as support for the department’s seven other divisions in the areas of finance, accounting, grant coordination, risk management, geographical information systems, and other services.
