Two men have been arrested and another is being sought in connection with the theft of 19 head of cattle valued at $12,500 from the Producers Livestock Auction in Sevier County.

According to Animal Industry Division Livestock Investigator, John Kimball, the three purchased the cattle using a bad check, then resold the animals three days later for a profit.

The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Ignacio Arteaga of Pahrump, Nevada with theft and conspiracy and Dan Semick of Enoch, Utah with conspiracy and fraud in connection with the theft. Oscar Ramos of Pahrump Nevada is being sought on theft and conspiracy charges.

Kimball worked with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office who is prosecuting the case. Livestock theft is a 2rd degree felony.
