We want Utahns to understand the biggest issues facing our farmers and ranchers and learn what they can do to help, whether that’s writing to their congressman or participating in their local CSA.

Farming at the Market

The Aug., 14, 2010 Farming at the Market event attracted hundreds of farmers market shopper who signed up to became advocates for Utah Agriculture.

The AgriAdvocates pavilion was sponsored by the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food and partners including: Utah State University, Agriculture in the Classroom and Extension Programs, Utah’s Own, Utah Dairy Council, Utah Beekeepers Assn., Carver’s Cove petting zoo, Edible Wasatch, and Backyard Chickens.

UDAF's Seth Winterton helps visitors spin and win AgriAdvocates T-shirts. Many people joined a mailing list to receive information on ways to protect Utah farmland.
