Utah's Own Hosts Global Economic Forum

The first ever Utah’s Global Forum was held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Salt Palace Convention Center. With high powered and knowledgeable presenters and approximately 500 entrepreneurs in attendance, it was a great success.

Besides the Governor’s keynote speech, the highlight of the day was the networking luncheon hosted by Utah’s Own. Six serving stations were spread throughout the exhibition ballroom featuring locally produced foods including beef, lamb, pork, turkey, salads, and desserts along with stations of Italian and Mexican style entrees and beverages like Apple Beer and Brigham’s Brew Root Beer. Numerous small tables near the serving stations allowed participants to fill a plate, stand to eat at the table while sharing their space with other attendees, then move on to a different serving station to try something else, yet again meeting new people as they stopped to eat.

Guests were not only pleased by the variety and quality of the items to savor, but pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to network with so many people they otherwise would not have met during the event.

Utah’s Own is proud to be a part of helping build and strengthen the State’s economy through its member agriculture and food companies that provide jobs and spend money within their local communities as they prosper and grow. Keeping it here at home, Utah’s Own.
