Program Supervisor

Mission Statement
The mission of the Meat Compliance program is to control and limit the movement of adulterated or misbranded meat in commerce. An additional goal is to provide accurate information concerning the complex meat laws to those in the meat business.
The
purpose of the Meat Compliance Program is to make sure meat is wholesome,
properly produced, handled and labeled at all levels from the farm
to the consumers table. This requires education of all those involved
in meat production, sale and use, including farmers, ranchers, business,
and consumers. It may also involve investigation,
control or detention of products, prosecution or other forms of
sanctions for those who are in violation.
